Celebrating 25 Years of Leadership: Congratulations to Michael Corker

This week, we got to celebrate someone who means a great deal to all of us at Hart Land Real Estate.

Our owner, Michael Corker, was surprised by the National Bank & Trust family in honor of a remarkable milestone: 25 years of service on the NBT Board of Directors, where he serves as Chairman of the Board.

Thinking he was simply arriving for the July board meeting, Michael instead walked into a room full of smiling faces, a celebration breakfast, and a few heartfelt surprises — including a commemorative brass bell engraved with one of his signature phrases, "We appreciate you!" There was even a homemade buttermilk pie for the occasion.

For a quarter of a century, Michael has brought steady leadership, thoughtful guidance, and genuine care to National Bank & Trust, its employees, and the communities it serves. Anyone who has worked alongside him here at Hart Land knows that's simply who he is — the same heart for people and community that he brings to every client, every day.

It's the kind of commitment that reflects everything we believe in at Hart Land Real Estate: showing up for our neighbors, investing in La Grange and the surrounding communities, and treating people right. We live here, and we give here — and Michael has spent 25 years living that out.
